Life at Loyola
During his few years at Loyola, Ed Kelly joined the Phi Mu Chi fraternity. It is unclear what Kelly studied during his time at Loyola, but he became well-known on campus due to his travels and adventures.
After his 1927 trip to India, The Loyola News joked that Ed was searching for a secretary to hire to organize all the newspaper clippings he received that covered his travels. They called him "the best known Loyolan in school today."
