Rome Center: Then and Now

As it approaches its 60th anniversary, much has changed and much has remained the same at the John Felice Rome Center. Even with many changes in administration and location, students in 2022 have a very similar experience to students in 1962. They still travel all around Italy, Europe, and the Middle East; they go to restaurants, museums and experience Italian culture; and they take a wide variety of classes, touching on every subject, whether required for a major or not.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, it hit Rome especially hard. Staff and administrators at the JFRC reacted quickly and efficiently, and all the students came home to the United States. Though their time in Rome was cut short, students did not regret their brief experience abroad. The John Felice Rome Center community, classes, and experience has benefited them all.
