More than 90 percent of Loyola's current faculty are laymen and the current student enrollment is 14,509. There are 38,000 Loyola alumni, and 27,000 of them live and work in the Chicago area.

In terms of service to the community, Loyola can be proud of her record:

The true nature of Loyola University of Chicago is summed up by one of her alumni, Leo McGivena, class of '16, who wrote:

"I think every alumnus of Loyola must feel that he was given more than he was ever able to give or will be able to pay for. In this most material day, the record of the men who have made a great college out of a prairie mission is a lasting inspiration, a tangible evidence of true Christianity."
