Robert M. Kelley, S.J. (1877-1953)
President, 1927-1933
Father Kelley held a variety of positions at the University of Detroit and Creighton University, Omaha, before becoming president of Loyola in 1927. During his term as president, Loyola's Elizabeth M. Cudahy Library was opened at Lake Shore Campus and the Board of Lay Trustees was formed. After leaving Loyola, Kelley became acting president of St. Mary's, then assistnat dean at St. Louis University until 1935. He was president of Regis College in Denver from 1935 to 1942 and then acting president of St. Louis University from 1942 to 1943
