Thomas O'Neill, S.J. (1822-1899)
President, 1880-1884
President of Loyola from 1880 to 1884, Father O'Neill was the fifth priest to hold the post. A man of deep learning and piety, he gave catechism instructions at the 8:30AM Mass at Holy Family Church on Sundays. After completing his term as president of Loyola, Father O'Neill became rector of St. Stanislaus Seminary. He died on March 2, 1899.
