Dr. Pelissero served as a member of Loyola's political science faculty for over 30 years. His University leadership roles began in 2003 with his appointment as the first associate provost for curriculum development. From 2005 - 2010 he was vice provost for the Division of Academic Affairs. He was appointed provost in May 2010, serving in that position until becoming interim president in July 2015. In August 2016 he resumed his role as provost, where he continued serving until January 2018.
