Flüelen by steamer, back to Lucerne.
Three Lindens: walked to along lake, past
Hergiswyl.

lakes Sarnen & Lungern – w.
flat pass between them. Spraying
of fir & beech woods on mt. to left;

portional barn, on leaving Lucerne,
w. 2 openings & big lattices, prominent
roof hipped at one end.
Weelerhorn e. of Langern mt.: climbed part way till
too cloudy; bright mt. flowers;
waterfalls skeined & silky; goat flocks
28: Brünig pass (shining trees): seen afar;
29: mass at t. church. Walked thru pass
to Brienz; water of Staubback;
idyllic tea gardens of Brienz; by row
boat across to t. Giessabach falls.
Interlaken by steamer; walked up foamy Lüt-
schine Vally to Lauterbrunnen.
