The cover illustrations were also published in 1972 as a broadside together with the poem The Ballad of Barnaby by W.H. Auden.  The broadside was produced for Auden's memorial service at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine, New York, October 3, 1973.

Occasionally Gorey would allow the use of illustrations from his published works.

This was the case when he gave the Funeral Consumers Alliance permission to use illustrations from his published works.  The illustrations are easily recognized, but this is an early example of a Gorey designed refrigerator magnet.
