'Tin N' Teakettles Promote Victory'
In the 1940s, Mundelein undergraduates participated in national causes. Sewing bandages, collecting scrap metal for the manufacture of machine guns, and attending workshops on groundwork aeronautics are only a small sampling of the types of activities undertaken by these Chicago college students in service to the American World War II effort. Students expressed their patriotism with efforts to boost soldier morale and prepared for careers in civil service, all in unswerving support of American involvement and Allied victory, which would follow in 1945.
